The beef cattle weighing and grouping system can quickly identify the electronic ear tags of cattle and collect weight data and time when they pass through the intelligent fence. According to actual needs, set grouping parameters in the system, coordinate with corresponding cow enclosure channels, and accurately control the opening and closing of corresponding enclosures based on the set weight parameters to achieve automatic grouping, which can be operated by a single person. Grouping can not only be done automatically or manually based on weight, ear tags, and the condition of the cattle. Grouping can also be based on size, treatment status, physiological stage, and epidemic prevention situation. Data collection can be uploaded to the ranch management system.
System Overview
The hardware of the beef cattle weighing and grouping system includes a weighing platform, fence (including front and rear doors), imported weighing sensors, electronic ear tag recognition devices, grouping doors, dynamic weighing control instruments, industrial touch screen computers, control cabinets, and three-way grouping doors.
The weighing platform is connected to the dynamic weighing control instrument through the signal line of the weighing sensor. (Considering the walking characteristics of beef cattle, such as being irritable and having pauses, stable walking, and being subjected to intense movement, the dynamic weighing instrument is processed by corresponding program algorithms to meet the weighing requirements in various movement states.) The weighing instrument is connected to a computer through the signal line, and the computer is equipped with a set of weighing management software for receiving electronic ear tag numbers and weight data of beef cattle and saving them. The computer is connected to an electronic ear tag recognizer; When weighing beef cattle, they are arranged in sequence under the control of the automatic control door, and pass through the weighing platform one by one in an orderly manner. The electronic ear tag recognizer reads the electronic ear tag; The system simultaneously stores the weight data and electronic ear tags in a one-to-one correspondence with the cow number. After weighing is completed, the system enters the group gate stage, where the corresponding conditions are set and the gate is opened. The cow passes through the group gate and exits, and the group gate is closed, repeating the process in sequence.

workflow
1. The equipment is powered on, and the operating status switches to manual mode. The button opens the inlet and outlet doors, allowing the cows to enter the equipment through the channel and pass through without obstacles. This cycle is repeated 1-2 times to train the cows.

3. The computer is connected to an electronic ear tag recognizer; When weighing beef cattle, they are arranged in sequence under the control of the automatic control door, and pass through the weighing platform one by one in an orderly manner. Installation requirements
1. Equipment total length: 5020mm; width: 1030mm, with a width of 80cm inside the fence; highest point is 2150mm, with a height of 1900mm inside the fence.
2. The equipment is placed on a hardened ground, which requires a horizontal surface with a length of 10 meters and a width of 5 meters. The hardened ground should not be higher than ordinary ground by more than 0.1 meters.
3. Install a rain shelter on the top of the equipment. The recommended size for the shelter is 8 meters long, 4 meters wide, and 3 meters high inside.
4. The power consumption of the equipment is 220V ± 10%, 1500W, and the on-site power supply requires stability. The power cord diameter is 4 square meters and must have grounding treatment.
Adopting a low-frequency electronic ear tag recognizer, with controllable coverage range and an accuracy rate of 99%, the card reader is installed on the side of the fence for reliable and stable recognition and reading while walking.
