Product Overview
Coating thickness gauge, with a compact size, is an ideal choice for integrated online detection, suitable for non-contact and non-destructive coating thickness measurement. Its measurement range covers 1-1000um, and can measure non transparent coatings such as paint, organic layers, inks, resins, adhesives, insulation layers, etc., without selectivity for substrate materials.
The uniformity of the thickness of the protective layer is crucial for performance and long-term reliability in fields such as lithium batteries, vehicles, ships, and aerospace. The common eddy current thickness measurement method requires contact measurement and cannot achieve fast and non-contact online detection. The optical interference method requires the coating to be transparent or semi transparent, and has high flatness requirements for the measured surface.
Coating thickness gauge
The photothermal coating thickness measurement is based on the principle of photothermal effect and thermal wave reflection. A light source is used to heat the surface of the sample, and the thermal wave propagates inside the coating and reflects back to the surface at the substrate interface. The temperature change on the coating surface can be accurately detected by a high-precision infrared detector to obtain the coating thickness.
schematic diagram
CT100 is a photothermal coating thickness gauge independently developed by Giant Technology. It has a compact structure, is easy to integrate, and can perform non-contact online detection. It can provide fast and accurate measurements for different shapes, curvatures, rough surfaces, as well as edges and corners. It is not affected by sample morphology and coating surface status, and does not require transparency of the coating. The software can achieve fast configuration and calibration when switching between different coatings, providing SDK and hardware interfaces that are easy to integrate and develop.
The CT100 thickness gauge is minimally affected by environmental temperature, vibration, measurement distance, measurement angle, etc. The measurement process is non-contact, non-destructive, fast, and reproducible; The measurable thickness ranges from 1 μ m to 1mm, with a measurement accuracy of 2%; It can measure coatings such as paint, varnish, organic layer, ink, high gloss paint, resin, adhesive, and metal plating, with no requirements for substrate materials.
